What’s the difference between Spell Catcher X and Spell Catcher X Lite?

Spell Catcher X version 10.3.2 is a free maintenance update to Spell Catcher X 10.3. Recommended for all Spell Catcher X 10.3 and 10.3.1 users. See What's New in Spell Catcher X 10.3.2.

The Spell Catcher X 10.3 Upgrade is free for those that purchased Spell Catcher X on or after September 1, 2007. Otherwise, the upgrade costs $14.95 USD for Spell Catcher X 10.2 (“X102” license codes) owners, and $19.95 USD for those that own an earlier version of Spell Catcher X (“SCX” license codes that have never been upgraded). The upgrade can be purchased from our online store at Kagi, after checking the upgrade eligibility of your existing “X102” or “SCX” license code.

Spell Catcher X 10.3 can be used in Trial mode for free for 14 days (with some limited functionality). If you are upgrading a licensed installation of Spell Catcher X 10.2.3 or earlier, and do not qualify for a free upgrade to Spell Catcher X 10.3, your existing license will work for three weeks, and then expire.

To install a Spell Catcher X language, simply download it by clicking a link to the right. Most browsers will automatically open disk image files after the download is complete. If your browser doesn't, locate the file and double-click it. Open the "Easy Install" application and follow the onscreen instructions. More details and other language installation options can be found in the "How to Install" document.

The Spell Catcher X Uninstaller application is included on the installation disk image. We are making it available as a separate (much smaller) download as well.

This manual describes the original Spell Catcher X 10.0 software. While much of it is useful and relevant, documentation for new features introduced since Spell Catcher X 10.1 is not included. Other parts are outdated (the installation instructions, for example). This manual is included with the Spell Catcher X software. In the Spell Catcher application, choose Help > Spell Catcher X User Manual. It’s available here as a separate download for your convenience.

The best source of documentation for new features is Spell Catcher’s Help Book. In the Spell Catcher application, choose Help > Spell Catcher Help, or view the Help Book on our web site.
