When I type lol, SCX fills this in; "the correct time is 15:30 (or whatever the time is)." What's going on?

Thanks in advance.

Really? Does this happen in every app?

Anyway, first thing to look for is whether you've created a shorthand "lol" -> "the correct time is [date-time-format-goes-here].". In the Spell Catcher app, choose Window > Find in References, see if "lol" exists in one of your Shorthand Glossary files. If it does, mystery solved, change the abbreviation to something else.

If this only happens in a specific app, see if that app's built-in proofing tools is doing this, and not Spell Catcher. Just turn off SC's interactive checking (or choose a keyboard) to see if that's the case.

Thanks Evan. I'll try those fixes.

What an idiot I am! It's not happening on SCX, it happening on SC Plus on my (forgive the expression) PC. Is anything different in your advice?

Same advice. Find in References is your friend in Spell Catcher Plus, too ;)
