Hi,
since I have updated to the very latest version, it looks like most of the time, when I switch languages, I now lose the current window focus.
I have set crtl-alt-f for French and crtl-alt-e for English
When I hit one of those functions, SpellCatcher correctly switches the dictionnary, but it doesn't come back to the window where I was typing in.
This on both Windows XP Pro SP3 and Vista...
Any idea?
Steve

Hi Steve,
I've just tried this in Vista and not seen a problem with focus being lost. I used the same shortcuts that chose to switch languages.
I did this test with Wordpad. Perhaps it has something to do with which application you are using. Can you try it with Wordpad?

Hi John,
sorry, I was around the world, didn't really check the Internet...
Funny, it looks like it's probably conflicting with another utility I have. But which one?
No idea. Sometimes SpellCatcher runs and doesn't lose the focus, sometimes not.
If I can find a way to reproduce this, I'll let you know.

Hi John,
My problem is more or less the same.
I have set crtl-alt-e for English and crtl-alt-s for Swedish.
Every time i switch between the languages I lose the current window focus. It doesn't matter what application I am using, Internet Explorer, notepad, MS outlook.
SpellCatcher correctly switches language, but it doesn't return the focus to the window where I was typing before switching.
This happens in both Windows XP and XP 64 bit.
Anny input would be appreciated since this is cumbersome. Is this a bug or a limitation to track and return focus to a window after using shortcut keys
Thanks,
Joachim
