I can get i'd to I'd, i'm to I'm and i'll to I'll, but not i to I.

I'm trying to get the correction to work automatically. As it is I can have the capital letter be the first suggestion that gets inserted by just hitting the space bar, but try as I might, I can't get it to change it automatically. Curiously, if the lower case i is followed by a period, it auto corrects.

I've tried entering the lower case i preceded and followed by a space in the spelling suggestions, but that doesn't seem to matter.

I'm using v10.2.3 on a Mac Mini (1.5GHz Core Solo, 2GB ram) running 10.5.8.

Any ideas?

I created an entry in the shorthand glossary. That seemed to do it...
