For those Spell Catcher X users out there that are plagued by the "Disappearing Input Menu" problem, I've put together a small utility that simply copies the logged-in user's input menu prefs to the root user's.

This makes it easy to apply the "root user work-around" without actually having to log in as root and configure your Input Menu.

All it does is copy the com.apple.HIToolbox.xxxxx.plist file from your home /Library/Preferences/ByHost directory into the corresponding directory for the root user.

If you're interested in testing this, send an e-mail to our beta requests address

We'll send you a message back with the URL where you can download it or (since it's only around 48K stuffed), simply reply with a StuffIt archive of the program.
