Any further developments on this (Mac OSX)? Curious is the workaround you figured out is something I should be trying! :->

OK, with SC 10.3.7 I now get the replacement word going all the way back to word before it (with no space). For instance:

Thatisn’t the way this is supposed to look! The space before this sentence was removed in autocompletion. Help!

My Chrome version is 10.0.612.3

Well, I'll take a look, but Google keeps changing (and breaking) Chrome…

The nature of Chrome's problems makes it impossible to truly fix things from my end. I attempted to lessen the problems, but have always stated that these were (by nature) imperfect work arounds, and only Chrome's developers can truly fix things.

OK, the latest version of Chrome that I'm seeing (on MacUpdate) is Version 8.0.552.231. Something doesn't sound right. Can you take another look at what you're using?

It says 10.0.612.3. It must be a developer version (?) tho idon’t remember filling anything out in that regard! Is the 8.x version working OK with SC 10.3.7?

I haven't installed it, as I wanted to hear back from you first. Give me a day or two to see what's up.

OK, installed the latest release version of Chrome (8.0.552.231), and I am seeing behavior similar to what you report - at least with Spell Catcher’s input method application. However, things work much better with the input method component in Chrome. So the best advice would be to set Spell Catcher’s Interactive/Typing preferences for Chrome similar to those for Outlook 2011. So follow the instructions in this FAQ, substituting Google Chrome where Outlook is mentioned.

In other words, you want to use Spell Catcher’s input method component whenever you're using Google Chrome. Not a perfect solution (as I've mentioned), but better than using the input method application.
