Hello:
I'm running v.10.3.4 in Mac Tiger and and getting dumber earlier.
If I close a very short document (or there has been a crash with only 10 or 15 characters typed) I cannot find any file for that document in my Ghostwriter folder for that day and application.
How can I get Ghostwriter to start saving keystrokes immediately?
Why the delay?
Is there a solution?
Many thanks

Update: 8/31/10
This morning I did a test closing (without saving) various documents after brief two or three word entries. Sometimes the document was found in Ghostwriter's folder and other times is appeared after three or four minutes, giving the impression that had I looked immediately, there would have been no record. It's the varying apparent delay that trips my panic at not finding the short document immediately.
So, perhaps the problem is with impatience and not the app. (Normal enough for this user).
Still, I'd like to better understand why there is such a random delay in the posting of the file in the Ghostwriter folders?

What application(s) are you seeing this with?
Ghostwriter saves to disk on specific "events" - not after a delay. One such event would be when you switch the active application, another would be when Spell Catcher resets the state of interactive checking. You can force interactive checking to be reset (usually) by clicking the mouse in the document's content, or (always) by pressing one of the arrow keys.
Many thanks

Like I said, the "delay" can appear random, as it's tied to various events and not to time. When you're typing, if Spell Catcher is not currently tracking a pending error, typing should get flushed to a Ghostwriter file every couple of words. If there is a pending error, it's somewhat more complicated.

Thanks, Evan:
Now I uderstand what was likely happening.
Many thanks, and thanks again for Spell Catcher. It's in my Hall Of Fame for the most useful and long lived applications.
