I am using SC version 10.3.7 with Apple Mail version 4.5. I can’t get SC to work with Mail and would appreciate any advice.

Can you describe the problem beyond "can't get it to work"?

Are you at all familiar with Spell Catcher X?

What are the exact symptoms you are seeing?

When I am preparing an outgoing message on Mail and make a spelling error SC does not show any evidence that it is active. That is to say, it does not display the window to make a correction. In other words, it isn’t working. I am familiar with SC X.

Is Auto-Show Suggestions selected?

Is Spell Catcher actually the active input source (i.e. you see the yellow checkmark in the menu bar)?

Are you certain the word you type is considered an error by Spell Catcher? What If you deliberately make a typo?

Are things fine in other apps, like TextEdit?

Doesn't really help, sorry to say.

Can you give me exact steps to reproduce? Is the problem that no errors of any sort are flagged by Spell Catcher when in Mail, or just specific ones?

Is this a new issue?
