Outlook didn't have this problem prior to the Service Pack being applied.

Is there anything else I should do?
Thanks,

Can you reproduce this? Or at least clarify?

Meanwhile, I think if you deselect Check Spelling While Typing (Edit > Spelling and Grammar or possibly somewhere in Outlook's preferences) you should at least be able to eliminate the hangs. Still, I need to know what's going on so I can fix it.
How do you normally switch between (or to) Outlook? Command-tab? Click its icon in the Dock? Expose? Other keyboard shortcut?

I already have check spelling while you type deselected.
I almost always get to Outlook using command tab.

Did find: /Users/mchapman/Library/Components/Spell Catcher.component/Contents/MacOS/Spell Catcher: no matching architecture in universal wrapper
What I don’t know is whether this message is causing the problem or results from the problem.

It seems to show up fairly regularly. Anything I should check to see what might be causing it.
That said, it appears to be a tangent from my main concern.
Thanks,
Mark

It gets logged when a plug-in of some sort (input method components are plug-ins) tries to get loaded by the Mac OS, but the plug-in does not contain code that matches the architecture of the process that wants to load it.
So in this case, since the Console is running in 64-bit mode, but Spell Catcher’s input method component contains only 32-bit code, that message gets logged. So basically, you switch from Outlook 2011 when Spell Catcher’s input method component is active to another app that's running in 64-bit mode, you get that message. And in this case, it's harmless. And certainly not the cause...

Spellcatcher looks fine (e.g., there is no 64 on the icon), Outlook freezes, and then the 64 shows up.
There are no messages in the console about Outlook and only the red herring message above about Spellcatcher.
Not sure what to make of this,
Mark

I'm as "not sure" as you are...
