I am having problems using Spell Catcher while running PTHPasteboard PRO (pth.com)? When I ask Spell Catcher to "Check Selection" or "Check All" it says "there was not any text in the pasteboard." The interesting thing is that the behavior *just* changed with this update to v10.4. Now the "Check Word", "Lookup" and "Find in References" work! Also the DirectCorrect has always worked.
MacBook Pro, OSX v10.6.7, Spell Catcher v10.4, PTHPasteboard PRO v4.5.5

Does PTHPB support the Services menu? Does Check Selection work from there? What about from Spell Catcher’s Dock Menu?

I would be surprised if this problem is actually related to PTH Pasteboard. I am running the exact same configuration and have no problem noticed at all.

Strange - not sure what's up. I'll grab the latest copy of PTHPB and take a look. Especially odd given that DirectCorrect works!

Thanks for getting right back to me.
No Services menu from PTHPB, it is a preference panel. I did do a test with TextEdit and the Check Selection Works from the Services panel but does NOT work from either the Dock menu or the Input menu.

Well, this blows my mind. I’ve had this problem on three different machines, two different OSX versions, two different versions of SCX, and several applications (TextEdit, Safari, BBEdit). So I just (famous last words) *assumed* it had to do with PTHB which I have installed everywhere.
I’ll go do a fresh install of everything (starting with the OS) to determine where this problem rears its head. I’m intrigued with the thought that a preference setting might be the key differentiator. Any idea what preference might be involved?

I'm not surprised that it could be PTHPB preference-related, it has quite a few governing the behavior of its window etc.
