I have read the forum posts that say that the problem with Chrome is Chrome's issue not Spell Catcher, but hear me out.
I have gone through my settings and turned off the setting "Make replacement directly (without backspacing) where possible" to help with the problem with Chrome not working, but now what happens is an extra backspace is done or something. For example. Go into Chrome in the address bar and type: my mac (all lowercase). Spell Catcher will replace it with myMac taking out the extra character (space).
It will do this with auto-corrections in the middle of words too, it removes an extra character and I end up having to retype anyway.
Is there anything that can be done about this?
Google Chrome replace

But past experience tells me that their app is just so f****ed up, that there's nothing that can be dome on my end.
One thing to try is to see if using the input method component makes any difference - at least if you aren't already due to your system not supporting 64-bit apps. Easy to tell - either you see the yellow checkmark with a little "64" badge (input method application), or a plain yellow checkmark (input method component).
The crazy thing is that Google Chrome version 5.whatever (for me, 5.0.375.86) worked totally fine with Spell Catcher and other input methods. Ever since the first 6.something version, Chrome hasn't worked properly at all with input methods.
Maybe you can dig up an old 5.x version?

I'm running 12.0.742.100.
I have been using chrome since version 3 or 4 and I absolutely love it. I won't change to any other browser because none of them are as fast and easy as this browser.
I did try the input method component option. I saw it in another forum post. It didn't work.
In terms of going back to version 5. That would be difficult, there are so many great enhancements after version 5.

Anyway, when I get a chance I'll see what's up with 12.0.742.100 or later. Still, not optimistic.
