There's a System Preference pane (Users:me:Library:PreferencePanes) called TapDex (awesome way to quickly access and find an Address Book contact) that triggers SC. Is there a way to turn TapDex off for SC? When I try adding it to the Applications panel in SC prefs, it's grayed out.

At least for TapDex, you can. Press the TapDex keyboard shortcut to show it's search field. Pull down the Input menu, deselect Interactive Checking. If you want to change more of Spell Catcher’s preferences for TapDex, if you choose Preferences from Spell Catcher’s Input menu it should open with TapDex selected in the Applications drawer.

(Note that what you tried didn't work, maybe because you added TapDex's prefpane, not the actual executable that's located inside the TapDex prefpane's bundle.)

That worked perfectly. Thank you!
