I am running OSX 10.6.8 (although I hope to upgrade to Lion shortly
When I try to use a QuicKeys short cut to type me email into Safari 4.5 I get garbage. No such problem in Firefox or Textedit. I changed my input to US extended (I need to run SpellCatcher Unicode because of a problem with Excel with the normal Spell Catcher), the problem went away.
No problem when I quit SpellCatcher app either, returns as soon as I relaunch and chose.
Did some extensive troubleshooting with QuicKeys and they said they couldn't help me so I turn to you, my good friends.
I also find some slow typing in Safari and Mail and some QuicKeys text triggers I use to type in Spanish (á, é, í ó ñ etc) type very slowly and appear after the following letter in Safari and Mail.
I am running Spellcatcher 10.4
I also get garbage when using normal Spellcatcher input method.
I use 64 bit app.
Any ideas?

It's not something I've heard of before.
Also tell me what version of QuicKeys you're using.
Open the Console utility, view the system.log, reproduce the problem. Look for any "suspicious" output and post it as well.
Also tell me if you see the problem with the Spell Catcher input method (not Unicode). Let me know which keyboard is selected in Spell Catcher’s Set Keyboard submenu, and if it makes a difference whether you use US Extended or just US.

I am using QuicKeys 4.0.7 (131)
I don't see system.log in the Console Utility, however I reproduced the garbage in Console Messages but no new messages were posted. There were messages five minutes earlier referring to QuicKeys, when I had been typing on Skype. I'll post these
Same problem with the Unicode and Normal: I have the U. S> Keyboard selected. I am using an extended (Apple keyboard) and tried chaaging but to no different.
I would rather not post the garbage since it is my emails. Letters and numbers are repeated, the @ disappears and such
Thanks

Feel free to crop just the areas with the "garbage". Very important I see it to understand.

done
I have since upgraded to OSX10.7.2, Safari 5.1.1 and Mail 5.1
I have trouble expanding some Quickeys shortcuts. When I quit Spell Catcher or chose a Flag Input method these problems disappear.
I have had trouble in Textedit and Mail and when I switch apps very frequently my first two letters are interchanged. All this happened with previous operating systems as well.
When I quit Spell Catcher I still find that some QuicKeys shortcuts expand much faster than others, but they do not spit out garbage.
The QuicKeys tech support people suggest I uninstal Spellcatcher and see what happens.
I have several languages installed. If I uninstall using the uninstaller, can I instal again and enter my key (I have a note it is for 10.3 but I'm running 10.4 - assume it is the same key?) will it work again?
Thanks

I should reproduce it myself and report back before you try uninstalling/reinstalling. Yes, your license will remain the same. Just don't bother trying now until I can try to reproduce the problem with YOUR QuicKeys and YOUR instructions.
