One of the most-used features that I used to use Spell Catcher for was for obscure and often very lengthy URLs directly into Safari's URL window. I'd put the cursor in Safari's URL window, type the shortcut for some lengthy website and it'd work flawlessly.
With Snow Leopard and Lion, that ability seemed to go away. The shortcuts would work, just not while in Safari's URL window.
But yesterday, while over at a friend's (who also uses Spell Catcher), I watched him do the same thing successfully. He's Command-L his cursor into Safari's URL window, type his shortcut and the website would appear.
We compared all the settings and everything looked identical on both our SC preferences.
But finally, we went looking into the actual shortcut file (U.S. English - My Shorthands.glossary), and saw that all of his website shortcuts had checkboxed "Don't type separator." When I did that to my website shortcuts, they now all work!
You may have already pointed this out, Evan, and maybe it's one of those intermittent things that will stop working periodically, but for the first time in 2 years, this feature now works again on my setup. Yaay.
