Since I have upgraded to Lion, SC has been acting strangely. For instance, today I typed in "solution" ad it suggested "soluiton" as the correct spelling. This happens frequently. What do I need to do?

Thanks,
Jim

First things first: make sure that (both, either of) the language selected in Spell Catcher’s Input menu's Set Language submenu is what you expect, or the language selected in the pop=up menu with the languages (Suggest Spelling Window, Check Word window, Check Selection window) is correct as well.

If all looks fine, make sure the references for that language (Spell Catcher Preferences, References pane, click the triangle to the left of that language to reveal all the references) that should have their "Use?" box selected (on).

If that seems OK, use the Find in References (Spell Catcher application, Window > Find in References) finds "reasonable" results for both solution and soluiton.

Include screen shots if necessary. Thee are many different ways that Spell Catcher can show suggestions, so make sure to describe the exact steps to reproduce. Include the version of Spell Catcher X you're using, and the application(s) and versions you see this behavior in.

It's not something I can reproduce, or have heard of from any others.

Did you upgrade Spell Catcher X at the same time you upgraded to Lion?

What version of Lion?
What version of Spell Catcher X are you using?
