I recently upgraded from Tiger to Leopard 10.5.8 and now SC won't launch at startup. It requires an Admin's password each time. I Have it in the Log-in items folder where it has always been).

(Naturally, I think I've become a genius because no spelling alerts are beeping. I miss the nagging).

Is there a way to allow SC to launch as is did since it was a baby?

Many thanks

A couple of things:
  • There should be no need to have Spell Catcher in your Login Items, as it will always launch as-needed automatically.
  • You certainly should not have to enter your admin password to launch Spell Catcher! Is this necessary even when you launch it manually by double-clicking it in the Finder?
  • Obviously something's not right with the ownership and permissions for the Spell Catcher application itself. In the Finder, select the Spell Catcher application and choose File > Get Info. Post a screenshot.
