Is it possible to use Spell Catcher 8 in classic mode
along with the mail app. in OSX,or do i have to buy
the OSX version.I want to be able to write my emails
and have Spell Catcher check it like it does in OS9.

On the other hand, SCX will work somewhat with certain Classic apps - specifically the selection-based commands available from SCX's Dock menu. Interactive checking does not and can not (technical impossibility) cross the great divide...
