Would it be possible to have the Suggest Spelling window remember where I last left it instead of appearing in the middle of the screen whenever I change documents or application.

Yes, it will work the way you expect (even on a per-application basis) in SCX 10.1.

It's a bug (oversight) in the way that the position is currently remembered that causes the behavior you see.

If you want to get the position to stick, you have to click the close box. Choosing a suggestion to make a correction just hides the window, but (this is the oversight) doesn't remember the position.

So the best thing to do is open a very simple app with a single window (TextEdit, say), choose Suggest Spelling, move the window where you want it, click the close box (this should save the position to preferences), then quit TextEdit.

From that point, the position of the window should remain where you last clicked its close box (with certain exceptions).
