I have already asked the StickyBrain folks, but they have no answers. Does SB have issues with Spell Catcher? When words are supposed to expand, they just disappear. Also quotes, whether straight or curly, single or double, just disappear as they‘re typed. What could be going on?

Thanks.

I just did a test in SB 2.0.1, though I did it with Spell Catcher X version 10.1 (which I'm hoping to release today or tomorrow).

Had no trouble. This is because SCX 10.1 has a work-around in place for applications like SB that do not properly support or implement their support for input methods.

You can easily see this with any other input method. Try Apple's Hangul (Korean) if you'd like.

Basically, if it's active, NOTHING you type ends up in your SB document.

This is a pretty unusual thing - an app needs to go to some trouble to behave this way. I'm not quite sure what they're doing, but you might want to ask them why this is.

Anyway, SCX 10.1 works around this kind of thing, but in reality, StickyBrain's TSM support should be fixed.

(I actually like SB, it's a pretty cool program. But their text handling's not quite right).
