Hello,
I like having the SC features in the Input menu, it reduces the space that is taken by my menulings.
I did notice though that if you have the input menu at the far left of the menulings and you drag your mouse along the application menus over to the menulings and select the input menu, the input menu is shown without the extra Spell Catcher items.
If you drag over from the right, from other menulings though, the displaying of the Input menu with the SC features is fine.
I don't know if this is a fixable bug or something to do with how you had to patch into the SystemUIServer.

It's a bug in the OS - plain and simple. Not all that serious, but I found it months ago.
