A feature I miss from the OS 9 version of SC is the various macros under Modify Selection, especially the e-mail cleanup. It swept away e-mail quoting characters, extra spaces, and formed paragraphs, in one operation. Is there a way to do this I am missing?

You can certainly do this, we just don't provide a default one at this time.

It's just harder to create one that works everywhere these days (well, probably impossible).

Basic steps (create a new Macro from Spell Catcher/Windows/Edit Macros):

Strip Characters ('>' any number, from beginning, white space) <- pick the right combination
Form Paragraphs

Embellish, experiment until you get it working the way you want.
