This is more a question, probably, than a feature request.
I am looking for a way to be able to check or lookup the word under the cursor without having to select it first.
Maybe, though, I am just missing something. Is there a keyboard shortcut in OS X to select the current word (in other words to simulate a doubleclick of the word containing the cursor)?
As it is, what I am doing is taking my hands off the keyboard to doubleclick the word and then going back to the keyboard to hit Ctl-Cmd-K or L or whatever. I'd like a way to do that more easily.
Cheers,
John

Meanwhile, see if there's a standard Mac OS keyboard shortcut that can help for now.

In case anyone is curious, anyone who uses QuicKeys, at least. I found a QuicKeys solution to this, setting up a HotKey for the sequence: "Option left, Shift-option Right, Command-control-k". It works great.
