I just installed Spell Catcher Plus after downloading it. When I double click the icon I get the splash screen then a dialog pops up saying...

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime error!

Program:C:\....\Spell Catcher.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

When I click, "OK," everything having to do with Spell Catcher shuts down.

I have Windows XP, Home edition and run McAfee Internet Security Suite. Does anyone know what can be done?

Hi,

Thanks for your report. I think you're experiencing a version conflict among DLLs related to MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class).

Spell Catcher was built based on this technology, and unfortunately, some people have reported this problem.

At this point I don't have a solution - other than to repackage Spell Catcher so that it runs without using MFC. This is something I've begun to do, but won't be finished for a while.

If you'd like to further explore this issue in attempt to resolve it, please contact me through e-mail.

Sincerely,

I've fixed this problem... a nasty little one...

The fix will be in the next release, which is coming out soon, but if you want to try it sooner please e-mail me directly, mentioning that you want the "Runtime Error Fix".

Thanks,

The fix to this problem has been included with the latest version which you can download for a free 15 day trial.

If you need a time extension on the trial period, please contact me directly and I can set you up.
