I was wondering whether it is possible to create something so that I could select a word or phrase and use 'Modify Selection' to automatically have it put curly quotes around the selection. Not just change straight quotes to curly quotes.

Especially in Microsoft Word. At present, when doing this, I add the curly quotes to the beginning of the phrase, but at the end I have to delete the last letter, type it again and then add curly quotes or else they come out backwards! A real drag.

I don't think it's possible "out of the box". I would have to create a module to do that - something like the strip characters one, but the opposite (prefix/suffix characters)?

Interesting idea - no promises, though...
