Here's my vote for a way to email other members. As in having the board relay messages; I would never suggest that we have members real addresses available. This way, nobody has to ever expose their real e-mail address. Some other boards do this.. it seems it IS possible with this one, but not enabled.
But I would agree that getting a update to SC-X takes priority over what I' suggesting!

I feel that some tool like this BB is a Great way to get ideas.
I am located 100 miles from my Apple dealer and other users. I need to talk and read
with others about usage of not only this product but computers in general.
I am not worried about putting my name and address out for all to see.

This board is probably way overkill for what's needed here, but I thought I'd go with the one I liked the most. It was truly easy to install and get up and running. But it's SO configurable and has so many features I think it's wisest to limit things for now.
This board is geared more towards building large online communities, though it can certainly fill the role of a tech support board. The latter's what I need - there's only so much disk storage and bandwidth I've got per month, and at this time I have NO idea how much of it I'll be using up. So these features are off.
A few things annoy me about it, I'll be asking if they can be changed or customized. Specifically, the "error" message screen you get when search results come up blank or if you click "Vew New Posts" and there aren't any are (IMO) kind of alarming (at least in appearance, until you read the message).
A simple "no results found" would suffice...
Anyway, it's a whole lot better than C&G's old InfoPop board. The NEW InfoPop boards are good, but they cost money. Believe it or not, this thing (and a number of others) is FREE!
