Hi guys,
I hope you can help
I'm not sure what I've done, but for some reason, when spell catcher makes its recommendation for my bad selling, it does it a pop up window, but for some reason, if I select the correct option 1 to 7 instead of replacing my bad spelling with my selection 1 to 7 it just types the digit I pressed.
I can use the mouse to select one of the 1 to 7 correct suggestion, in which case it corrects my spelling.

Please help, very annoying

Hi MAK,

There is a checkbox in the Settings dialog -> Typing panel that is usually off. You may have checked it without knowing its full purpose.

The checkbox is called Use Up or Down key to Activate Correction List. Generally you want this box unchecked.

If it is unchecked, when you press a number key to select the corresponding correction - the correction will be performed for you.

If this box is checked, the number that you pressed will be added into your document as you’ve reported. In this case you can use the Up or Down arrow key to first activate the correction popup, then follow that by pressing the number of the selection that you want.

The purpose of this checkbox is to allow people who are entering numbers into a document to NOT have the numbers interpreted as correction choices should a correction popup be showing.

I would like to give this checkbox a new name, but haven’t got one in mind... so unfortunately, this remains a point of confusion...

Let me know if unchecking Use Up or Down key to Activate Correction List in the Typing panel does the trick...

Firstly yeah it worked

I have promoted your product "spell catcher" to every one, a lot of students. Do you have any poster or anything of such which I can put in the learning centre, the thing I love about this is, that it works on both mac and pc, I have to say, its better on a pc, it would be nice if you get them to act almost identical to each other so not to get lost with settings ext...

Also, I want to add a link to this from my My website. I'll put it on the first page, well actually on all, on the left hand side. Do you have specify banners or anythings.
