Perhaps it's my failing memory, but it seems to me that a number a years and versions ago (SC-2?) there was an option in the preferences that allowed me to tell SC that when I clicked the mouse that it meant I had started a new word - like I often do when I enter a dialog box or when move from place-to-place in a document editing text.

One of the things I find most irritating about SC is when it pops up a suggestion for Ambroseirritated, when what I typed was "Ambrose" in a popup text box and then clicked on a different text box and typed "irritated."

Can we get this option back please?

Thank you!

Ambrose

Normally Spell Catche X will ALWAYS consider what you type after a mouse click to begin a new word. There is no option to control this.

Likely what you are seeing is a bug in the underlying program (I'll take bets - Mail and/or Safari is where you see it, as both have this bug) where it does not notify input methods of mouse down events, hence Spell Catcher thinks the words before and after the click "run-together."

If I'm wrong, let me know, but I'm guessing otherwise.
