In Word, prior to version 2004, I was able to designate certain English words in an Exclude Dictionary that were then excluded from acceptable spellings. In this manner, I was able to rid my documents of words that were acceptable English words but that I continually mistyped when I meant other words. For example, I frequently typed form when I meant to type from.

Is there any method of setting up a similar function in Spell Catcher X?

Yep, it's called an Omitted Words document.

In the Spell Catcher application, choose File > New > Omitted Words.

Click the Help button in the Untitled document window that opens to learn a little more about how they work.
