These preferences control some of the more basic Spell Catcher behaviors and features. Since they apply to the Spell Catcher application itself, they can’t be set on a per-application basis.
Don’t become the active application. Check this box if you don’t want the Spell Catcher application to become active when you launch it manually (from the Dock, Recent Items menu, and the like).
Show Preferences window when re-opening. When selected, Spell Catcher’s Preferences window will open if you “launch” it manually when the Spell Catcher application is already running.
Default fonts. Choose the font you want Spell Catcher to use for Reference lists, Word lists, editing Shorthand Glossary expansions, and Interactive Checking pop-up lists (suggestions and completion).
Draw alternating row background color in lists and outlines. When selected, draws lists of items using the standard Mac OS X alternating row colors (light blue and white usually).
