Spell Catcher products can be purchased online at our online store, hosted by Kagi, a well-known and respected e-commerce service.

Pricing
Single-user licenses for Spell Catcher X, Spell Catcher Plus, and Spell Catcher 8 cost USD $39.95, and are available from our online store at Kagi.
Single-user licenses for Spell Catcher X Lite and Spell Catcher Plus Lite cost USD $29.95, and are available from our online store at Kagi.
The “Lite” products exclude some of the “power-user” features that Spell Catcher X and Spell Catcher Plus offer.

A “Lite” license can be upgraded to a full-featured license for USD $14.95. There is no need to install new software to upgrade an installation.
Single-user license 10-packs are available at a discount, as well as discounted bundles for each product combination.

CD Orders
Backup CDs for Spell Catcher X, Spell Catcher Plus, and Spell Catcher 8 are also available for USD $10.00. Backup CDs do not come with a license. You must already own or also purchase a corresponding license to actually use the software on these CDs.
Additional Languages
Canadian English, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese and Russian languages are available at a cost of USD $10.00 each.
“Sidegrade” Pricing
If you have purchased a full single-user license for a Spell Catcher product from us (Rainmaker Research - i.e. not from Casady & Greene), and would like to purchase the product for a different operating system, we offer a 25% discount (USD $30 instead of $40). As an example, if you purchased a full Spell Catcher X license from as, you can purchase one for Spell Catcher Plus or Spell Catcher 8 at a 25% discount.
There are some rules and restrictions we must enforce on sidegrades - there is some "fine print" explaining these restrictions on our Policies page. Please read it to make sure you qualify for this pricing. If you’re not sure if you qualify, contact us, we’ll help you figure it, out and let you know.
This is currently a manual procedure. You must send an e-mail to our sales address that includes your current license code, and tell us which other Spell Catcher product you want to purchase. We’ll check your eligibility and send you to a special order page on our online store where you can make this discounted purchase. We hope to automate this sometime soon.
Where to Purchase
Single user licenses for the various Spell Catcher products are available at our online store, hosted by Kagi, a well-known and respected e-commerce service.
Spell Catcher is a commercial product. Shortly after your purchase is made (usually less than one hour), you will receive your license code(s) and related information via e-mail. Spell Catcher Plus 2.5 or later, and Spell Catcher X 10.1 or later running in trial mode, can be licensed at any time to remove any restrictions.
The Spell Catcher 8 trial cannot be unlocked or otherwise converted to the full version of the program. The e-mail you receive when you purchase Spell Catcher 8 will contain instructions for downloading the full version of the program along with your license code.
Spell Catcher X 10.3 Upgrade
The Spell Catcher X 10.3 Upgrade is free for those that purchased Spell Catcher X on or after September 1, 2007. Otherwise, the upgrade costs $14.95 USD for Spell Catcher X 10.2 (“X102 license codes) owners, and $19.95 USD for those that own an earlier version of Spell Catcher X (“SCX” license codes that have never been upgraded). The upgrade can be purchased from our online store at Kagi, after checking the upgrade eligibility of your existing “X102” or “SCX” license code. The eligibility check will report whether you are eligible for a free upgrade, eligible to purchase the upgrade, have already purchased the upgrade, or not eligible at all (free or paid).

Spell Catcher Plus 3.0 Upgrade
Rainmaker Research Customers
If you’ve already purchased Spell Catcher Plus from us, either directly or from our online store at Kagi, you’re entitled to a free upgrade to version 3.0! You should be able to request a key to unlock version 3.0 so it will be fully functional and never expire.

You can purchase the upgrade for $19.95 USD from a special order page at our online store at Kagi. You must know your Spell Catcher Plus 2.0 - 2.1.4 serial number, and that it hasn’t been used to purchase the upgrade yet.
